Open Day 7th May 2016 Schedule

Check out The Basecamp this weekend, Saturday 7th May at our Open Day, 8 am – 1pm.
This is where Top 20 women’s tennis player, Madison Keys, trained when she came to the Sydney Open.

 

This where ordinary people train for extraordinary things: 2 of our Basecamp members are out on expeditions now:

 

  • Jaco Ottink is in Nepal ,3 weeks into his Everest summit attempt
  • Gareth Andrews is 2 weeks into an unsupported attempt to cross Greenland.

This weekend Joe is throwing open the doors of his purpose built adventure training gym, Joe’s Basecamp, for an open day and 1st Birthday Party .

It will be a fun filled action and adventure packed day at the Basecamp. There will be a whirlwind of activity from classes, challenges, demos, seminars and films. There will be thousands of dollars of prizes and giveaways including Basecamp gym memberships and The North Face gear.
Bring the kids as well there’ll be a Youth Class at 10am and there will be plenty to keep them entertained.

Here’s the final schedule:

8am: Class – Coaches Choice – 1 hour, all are welcome
9am: ‘Bulletproof coffee’ demonstration and tasting
9am: My Everest Summit Secrets – Stephen Bock
9.15am: Achieving the perfect handstand
9.30am: How to fix a Broken Diet
9.45am: Making Bone Broth and its benefits – try it!
10.00am: Youth workout 20 mins, a must for all the kids.
10.00am: Altitude training in our chamber for Speed and Endurance
10.30 am:Class -HIIT 20 mins
11.00am :Core Balancing on the Slack-line

 

We will be supported by some of our awesome practitioner partners, including Empower Exercise Physiology and North Curl Curl Physiotherapists giving movement assessments and mobilisation tips and tricks.
The North Face and Pace Athletic will be showcasing their latest equipment and apparel and there are sure to be some bargains.
And we’ll have plenty of healthy snacks and drinks to try from True Protein, Bounce, Shiralee Meats and

 

Plus all morning there will be challenges, raffles and competitions including, How fast can you row 300m, Monkey bar madness, Sand bag lifting, Core balancing on the slack line and much, much more all with great prizes valued at well over $5000.
