As many of you know I've just returned from a fantastic trip to Bhutan. We did the Lingshe/Laya trek. A hard trek with three stunning high passes and a top altitude of 5040m. We had sun, snow and rain, stunning scenery in a beautiful sparsely populated country.

It's that time again. We're entering a team in the annual Pub2Pub charity fun run held on Sunday 28th August 2011. If you're currently enrolled on any of our Sweat+Tears group...

Entries have opened for this years Pub2Pub, being held on Sunday 22nd August.  In line with last years offer, we are again offering FREE entry into this iconic Northern Beaches event for current Sweat & Tears members and all new members to Sweat & Tears that sign up this month for a 3 month package.  All clients that have Personal Training sessions with us once a week or more are also eligible.  Don't miss this great opportunity to join our team for a stunning run along the beautiful beaches (and some beers after!).
Hi everyone, received a very lengthy update from Joe today via text - he must have Texting RSI now!! Text received follows: "Several days since last update, no reception so unable to send updates. As I text this I am sitting in Jomsom waiting for a flight to Pokhara, everybody is down off the mountain, safe & well.
Wow, it's been almost 3 weeks since Joe left for Nepal to meet up with his Dad, Chris and the other Bonington Treks team members heading off to trek the Annapurna region. Joe may be in the middle of the Himalayas but don't think that's stopped him being in regular 'text' contact with us here at the Joe Bonington office providing some great updates (and not to mention some cheeky ones!) of the teams adventures - the wonders of technology!!!
The countdown is finally on in a big way for Joe, his Dad Chris & the Bonington Treks team heading to Annapurna to celebrate Chris’ first ascent of Annapurna II (7937 metres) in 1960, it is also the 40th Anniversary of the first ascent of the South Face of Annapurna by Dougal Haston and Don Whillans on an expedition led by Chris. But most significantly the 60th Anniversary of Maurice Herzog's epic adventure & conquest of Annapurna.  This is going to be a tough and strenuous trek that they are all very excited about and having been working hard on their fitness to keep up with 75 year old Chris!!!
